Our Story Begins in the Soil
There’s something about plants that feels a little like magic. Watching them grow and change, starting from almost nothing, gets me every time. Each one is so different, with its own way of thriving, just like people. Taking care of them and watching them grow feels so personal, like they’re giving back what you put into them.
When I moved in with Cody in 2022, I had this idea of starting a garden. We bought some cheap raised beds, and I jumped in without a clue what I was doing. Honestly, I wasn’t great at it, but I was determined to make it work. I kept going, figuring it out as I went, and little by little, things started growing. That’s when I realized how much I loved this.
A Little Gardener, A Lot of Love
In March 2023, everything shifted when we had our son, Sawyer. Suddenly, the garden wasn’t just about me. It became about the kind of life we wanted for him. We wanted him to grow up outside, surrounded by nature, where he could dig in the dirt, explore, and just be a kid. Watching him light up when he’s in the garden has been one of the best parts of being his Mama.
Now, he’s part of everything we do. He has his own little gardening tools and wants to help with everything…planting, watering, harvesting, pulling weeds, and sometimes pulling flowers too. It’s messy and chaotic, but it’s also the best thing ever.
From Dirt to Dreams
Later that year, Cody and I decided to completely redo the landscape. He leveled the ground so we could start fresh. It was a blank slate, and I had big plans. I went all in on Pinterest, dreaming up ideas and showing them to Cody. I told him I wanted to turn most of the yard into garden space, and somehow he said yes. I still don’t know how I convinced him, but I’m so glad I did.
In September 2023, we got married. Our wedding flowers were stunning, and they hit me in a way I didn’t expect. That’s when I realized flowers were more than just something I liked. They were something I needed. I told Cody I wanted to try “flower farming”, and he thought it was just another one of my wild ideas. But when he saw me out there with a shovel, trying to make it happen, he knew I meant it.
For the Love of Flowers
Flowers are more than just pretty to me. They’re joy. Pure, simple joy. I love the way colors and textures come together to make each bouquet unique. I love the whole process, from planting the tiniest seed to creating something beautiful. It’s not always perfect. Some things don’t grow, and sometimes I have to start over. But when it works, it’s magic.
Our garden is so much more than a business or a hobby. It’s part of who we are. Cody, Sawyer, and I have built something together that connects us as a family. We’ve learned so much, made a ton of mistakes, and fallen more in love with this way of life.
Sharing the Magic
Now, here we are, growing flowers, raising a family, and chasing a dream I wasn’t sure would ever happen. Every flower we grow feels like a little piece of our family, a reflection of the love and care we pour into it. My hope is that these flowers can bring a little of that magic into your life too. Whether it’s a bouquet, a single bloom, or the beauty they bring to a moment, I want to share this joy with you.
